ABOUT ME
Hello!! If we haven’t officially met, my names Elaine. I specialize in horror, black and grey portrait work, and illustrative floral tattoos. I started my tattooing career back in April 2014.
At the ripe age of 13, I made the decision, I knew I was going to be a tattoo artist. I spent my summers drawing everyday, planning and working on my skills. At 17, in my senior year of high school, I landed my apprenticeship. I remember the days of working as a waitress, going to school, and working my apprenticeship all at the same time. Constantly saying “I wonder what I’ll be doing 10 years from now” …
At 23, I opened my first private tattoo studio as a co-owner. We had a great run and learned so much from this experience. It challenged me in new ways and opened my eyes to what it takes to run a business.
Welcome to the present! (I'm now 27 years old)
In July 2023, I went solo and opened up The Gallows Tattoo Studio in Brownstown, MI. It's my little emo dream shop. I’m so proud to work with some of the most amazing people/artists. The studio is such a fun place to get inspired and have great conversation. I’m so giddy to watch it grow and see what is to come.
The words can’t describe how grateful I am to have so many wonderful clients over the years, who have supported me through my career, and have helped make this dream come true. I would be no where without the endless love, trust, support, and encouragement. I love hearing all of the stories, life updates, and becoming friends with the people I meet.
I still have moments where I can’t believe this is my life. I never thought I’d make it this far, but I’m becoming exactly who I hoped I would. It’s all thanks to every person who wears my art, every friend that gives words of encouragement, and my parents for instilling the belief in myself and encouraging me to be exactly who I wanted to be.
